Sigmashield 1200 - Solvent-free Wear-Resistant Coating

Description:
Sigmashield 1200 is a 2-component, solvent-free, abrasion-resistant phenol/epoxy polyamine coating. Designed as a 1 coat system for the underwater portion of ice going vessels and ice breakers. Recognized by Lloyds Register as an abrasion-resistant ice coating.

Characteristics:

• Excellent resistance to abrasion and impact
• Low coefficient of friction
• Resistant to crude oil up to 120°C
• Excellent resistance to water
• Good chemical resistance to various chemicals and solvents

Compatible with:

• Epoxy as a primer
• Epoxy, polyurethane as topcoat

Color and sheen:

• Light gray, dark gray
• High gloss

Instructions for use:

• Stir well before use until homogeneous in color and texture (max. 5 minutes).
• Too much dilution can reduce resistance to sagging.

Drying times:

• Paintable after 36 hours at 10°C.

Dilution:

• Solvent-free.

Processing temperature:

• Can be processed up to 10°C.

Efficiency:

• Approx. 2.5 m² per liter for a dry film thickness of 400 µm.

Surface:

• Steel, epoxy.

Application methods:

• Spraying, brushing, rolling (below and above the waterline).

Mixing ratio:

• 80:20.
