Epifanes Hardwood Oil

High-gloss, protective one-component wood oil varnish based on alkyd/wood oil/phenolic resin. Excellent adhesion to degreased and sanded teak wood and other types of wood containing fat and oil. Due to its breathable properties, it regulates the substances present in tropical deciduous wood - in a maximum of 6-layer system. The built-in UV filter protects the wood against discoloration. Very good weather and water resistance and long outdoor durability. Perfect alternative to the recurring maintenance of pure wood oil systems. If the next layer is applied within 72 hours, intermediate sanding is not necessary. If Hardwood Oil Varnish is applied to non-greasy types of wood, where the breathability of the protective layer does not need to be taken into account, e.g. on mahogany and meranti, the same number of layers should be applied as with a varnish.

Application:

On teak, oak and other oily wood types, inside and outside above the waterline. As a maintenance layer on existing, intact oil and varnish systems.

Can be painted over:

After 24 hours at 18°C. Possible within 72 hours without intermediate sanding
