Epiphanes Black Bottom

Description:
High-quality, tar-free black preservative coating/ship paint, suitable for both below and above the waterline. The dense surface structure makes this coating highly resistant to continuous water exposure. Provides excellent adhesion and is suitable for overpainting tar coatings and direct application to bare steel and wood. Easy to process, colorfast, and resistant to UV radiation and varying influences of water and air. This product does not have antifouling properties, and like tar, it can fester over time. To prevent fouling, two coats of Werdol copper-free can be applied 5 days after the last coat of Black Bottom.

Application:
For use on bare or tarred steel and wood. For underwater ship protection on bare surfaces, apply a minimum of 250-300 microns dry film thickness (approx. 500 ml/m²).

Spray processing:
Epifanes 1-C Spray Dilution

Advice:
Apply the first layer diluted to bare steel or existing (coal) tar systems.

Can be painted over:
After 12 hours at 18°C.

Can be painted over with:
After 5 days with Werdol Copper Free

Spreading ability:
10 m²/l @ 50 micron

Recommended dry layer thickness:
50 microns

Recommended wet layer thickness:
100 microns
