{"id":20730,"date":"2023-04-24T10:02:42","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T10:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/civharlingen.wjdemo.nl\/product\/sigmatherm-500-aluminium-2\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T13:41:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T11:41:18","slug":"sigmatherm-500-aluminum-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/civharlingen.wjdemo.nl\/en\/product\/sigmatherm-500-aluminium-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sigmatherm 500 Aluminum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sigmatherm 500 Aluminum is a heat-resistant aluminum coating based on a modified alkyd resin, designed for the protection of steel structures at temperatures up to 500\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<h2>Applicability Sigmatherm 500 Aluminium<\/h2>\n<p>This coating is suitable for both internal and external protection of steel structures exposed to high temperatures, such as pipelines, chimneys and industrial furnaces.<\/p>\n<h2>Features and benefits<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Heat resistant<\/strong>: resistant to temperatures up to 500\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Melt<\/strong>: a minimum temperature of 200\u00b0C is required to fuse the aluminum coating.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Processing temperature<\/strong>: processable up to 5\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Compatibility<\/h3>\n<p>Sigmatherm 500 can be used as primer and topcoat in one system, without the need for a separate primer.<\/p>\n<h3>Color and gloss level<\/h3>\n<p>Available in aluminum color with a eigluster finish.<\/p>\n<h3>Instructions for use<\/h3>\n<p>Stir the paint well before use until it is homogeneous in color and texture; in practice, up to 5 minutes of stirring is sufficient. The temperature of the paint should preferably be above 15\u00b0C to maintain proper viscosity.<\/p>\n<h3>Drying times and thinning<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Dust dry: 1 hour at 20\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Paintable: after 24 hours at 20\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Fully cured: at least 3 days at 20\u00b0C before exposure to heat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Normally, dilution is not required. If required, a suitable thinner can be used; refer to the technical data sheet.<\/p>\n<h3>Yield and layer thickness<\/h3>\n<p>The theoretical yield is 12.8 m\u00b2 per liter at a dry film thickness of 25 \u00b5m. The recommended dry film thickness is 25 \u00b5m per coat.<\/p>\n<h3>Application methods<\/h3>\n<p>Sigmatherm 500 Aluminum can be applied by brush, roller (above the waterline only) or spray equipment.
