The product is designed for high-quality corrosion protection on steel and other metal substrates and can be used in a variety of industrial and marine applications.<\/p>\n<h2>Applicability Sigmacover 280 Epoxy Primer.<\/h2>\n<p>This primer is suitable for use on steel, hot-dip galvanized steel and non-ferrous metals. It is used in protection systems for ballast tanks, ship hulls, oil tanks, cargo holds and various offshore structures, among others.<\/p>\n<h2>Features and benefits<\/h2>\n<p>The primer is distinguished by its strong adhesion and corrosion resistance. It can cure at temperatures as low as +5\u00b0C, which increases its application possibilities. In addition, it is paintable with various coatings, offering flexibility in maintenance and protective coatings.<\/p>\n<h3>Compatibility<\/h3>\n<p>Sigmacover 280 is compatible with itself and can be overpainted with a variety of coatings, including alkyd, chlorinated rubber, vinyl, epoxy and two-component polyurethane coatings.<\/p>\n<h3>Color and gloss level<\/h3>\n<p>Available in greenish yellow and on request in reddish brown, with a eigluster finish.<\/p>\n<h3>Instructions for use<\/h3>\n<p>Stir well until homogeneous (max. 5 minutes). Too much dilution reduces resistance to sagging.<\/p>\n<h3>Drying times and thinning<\/h3>\n<p>Drying times vary depending on temperature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dust dry: 1.5 hours at 20\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Paintable: After 16 hours at 10\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Fully cured: 7 days at 20\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For thinning and cleaning, Sigma Thinner 91-92 is recommended. This ensures optimal processing.<\/p>\n<h3>Yield and layer thickness<\/h3>\n<p>The theoretical yield is 11.4 m\u00b2 per liter at a dry film thickness of 50 microns.
